The Virtual Canvas

With the Virtual Art Experience, artists and art lovers alike can explore a dimension where the physical fuses with the cyber world showcased in a virtual canvas. -ai text edited by me

For me the Internet was a safe space. An escape that kept me safe from my family's violence, that kept me company through extended periods of neglect, a refuge from the weird growing up stage of my physical body, which I call: the "Caterpillar Phase". It was a gateway of knowledge, a medium for connection with other minds. Other beings.

When I started painting I knew I had to develop my own style. Imitating someone else’s was not my thing. I was inspired by Van Goghs abstract expressionism but still, the technique I was doing was very different. More minimalistic. Like in music my preference for minimal tech stands out.

ARTsY-Fi-ciALL Intelligence

Although there are many "dark" sides to tech, and AI specifically, there is much more to it than that. Whatever fears are being projected into it are reflections of our own psyche. We have a tendency to fear what we don't understand, what we can't control, what we can't predict. The unknown unknowns. That’s where the magick is.

We see things which we don’t know what they really are, and also we know things that we cannot see.

The black box inside the black screen that we skillfully manipulate sometimes.

There’s a stage in the highest consciousness passing The Void, where there is the self observing the self experiencing the self itself. From this point it’s knowable how we ourselves create our reality, and what seem to be scary or dangerous is a reflection on an inner fear or pain.

This post is about the (r)evolution of art, a fascinating journey that encompasses the transformative changes in artistic expression, techniques, and mediums over time. The concept of art has undergone significant shifts, reflecting not only the evolving tastes and preferences of society but also the technological advancements and cultural movements that have influenced artists throughout history. From the early cave paintings of prehistoric times, which served as a means of communication and storytelling, to the sophisticated digital art forms of today that utilize cutting-edge technology, the evolution of art is a testament to human creativity and innovation.

Throughout the ages, various art movements have emerged, each characterized by distinct styles, philosophies, and techniques. The Renaissance, for instance, marked a profound revival of classical ideals and humanism, leading to the creation of masterpieces by renowned artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. This period was followed by the Baroque era, which introduced dramatic use of light and shadow, emotional intensity, and grandeur in artistic representations. The subsequent movements, including Impressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism, further pushed the boundaries of traditional art, challenging perceptions and inviting viewers to engage with art on a deeper level.

In the contemporary landscape, we witness the rise of multimedia art, street art, and interactive installations, which blur the lines between the artist and the audience. The advent of digital technology has revolutionized the way art is created, shared, and experienced, leading to the emergence of virtual galleries and online exhibitions that reach a global audience. Social media platforms have also played a crucial role in democratizing art, allowing artists to showcase their work and connect with fans and collectors directly, fostering a new generation of art enthusiasts.

Moreover, the (r)evolution of art is not only about the changes in style and medium but also about the themes and subjects that artists choose to explore. Today, many artists address pressing social issues, such as climate change, identity, and inequality, using their work as a powerful tool for advocacy and change. This shift reflects a growing awareness of the role that art plays in society and its potential to inspire dialogue and provoke thought.

In conclusion, the (r)evolution of art is a dynamic and ongoing process that mirrors the complexities of human experience. As we continue to navigate an ever-changing world, the evolution of artistic expression will undoubtedly persist, adapting to new challenges and opportunities, while continuing to inspire and captivate audiences across generations.
